Disadvantages of Cloud Computing:
Despite it being the best thing that might have happened to us, cloud computing presents itself with the following cons-
- The risk of data breach and threat to confidential information
- Dependency on the cloud, that is the internet means that it cannot be used without having access to the internet
- Security levels may vary
- Compliance
- Since the whole set of data and services are available everywhere, it leaves the whole system unprotected and unsecured if threatened
- Technical glitches may happen from time to time.
Features of Cloud Computing
Cloud computing has been in the market for a while now, and users have eaten this up with all their hunger. It has often been described as trendy, hot or even supreme. It replaced an age-old system of hiring a whole department just to handle these purchases and maintenance by companies.
In doing so, it has established itself as a new form of convenience, making access to data easier and reducing the risks and safety hazards to almost negligible, in most cases. To define this process, we can sum up different statements used all around the world, like:
• The services and data on the cloud can be easily accessed through cloud computing with the simple requirement of an internet connection
• A multi-tenant system is used to provide all the information and services
• Downtime and outage risks, which were very frequent before cloud computing, have dropped to negligible rates ever since the process took over
• A whole lot of data is entirely available to the individuals or organizations and are typically a few clicks and keywords away
• Extra cloud storage can be easily purchased for a minimalistic price
• Financially speaking, investing in cloud computing is one-time and very profitable • Although the data is vulnerable in a crisis, the privacy and security of users are a top priority and kept protected at all costs
Conclusion
All in all, to define is to limit. Hence, defining the process by its characteristic features is not the end goal here. Cloud computing has proven itself worthy of the best applause by getting rid of the boring old tasks that marked the techniques which were employed in managing all this data before. Gone are the days when companies had to hire people just to research and run data statistics to find out intelligence.
